Kathryn Sawchak, MD

Kathryn Sawchak, a Texan transplant, completed her medical school training at Baylor College of Medicine and her OB/GYN residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She resided in Wichita, Kansas, for a year after residency to support her husband, Dr. Erik Severud, in completing his orthopedic residency. She and her family then spent a year in California while her husband did his fellowship training in Sports Medicine and she worked for Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. After completing this stay in California, she and her family returned to Kansas. She partnered with a colleague and friend, Dr. Ann Hentzen Page, to create “The Woman’s Place”.  Over the years, she has valued the privilege of providing top-quality care to women and families. Supportive, individualized care is of utmost priority, and she is honored to be a part of the community. Sawchak is a mother of six, and in her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She looks forward to providing care for all women for many years to come.
